Also known as: Sodium hexafluoroaluminate; Sodium aluminum fluoride Molecular formula: Na₃AlF₆

  Grade: Industrial Grade

Appearance: Powdery, sandy, or granular (white to grayish-white)

Storage method: Store in a cool, sealed location.

Applications: Electrolytic aluminum, abrasives, abrasive tools, sandpaper, abrasive belts, ceramics, enamel, glass, and casting industries, among others.

Product Applications: Primarily used as a fluxing agent in aluminum electrolysis, it is also employed as a wear-resistant additive in abrasive products, effectively enhancing the durability, cutting performance, and machining efficiency of grinding wheels—thereby extending both their service life and shelf life. Additionally, cryolite exhibits excellent chemical stability: under normal conditions, it neither decomposes, evaporates, nor deliquesces, and its melting point exceeds that of aluminum. Beyond aluminum production, it’s utilized in manufacturing milky white glass and serves as an essential electrolyte in the production of aluminum alloys, ferroalloys, and boiling steel. It’s also a key ingredient in formulations for grinding wheels, sandpaper, and abrasive belts.
