It is produced by mixing elements such as chloride and fluoride salts, followed by drying. When used as a refining agent, this product exhibits excellent fluidity and rapid dissolution when injected into molten aluminum with the aid of nitrogen gas. This allows it to efficiently remove gases and impurities, making it suitable for refining temperatures ranging from 720°C to 750°C. Its key features include low operating costs; however, compared to granular refining agents, it generates a small amount of smoke during the process. It is compatible with a wide range of alloys—except for those in the 5-series and 7-series.
